Folk Music Canada Returns to Folk Alliance International 2018 in Kansas City

Folk Music Canada is pleased to return to Kansas City, o present Canadian artists at the Folk Alliance International Conference, February 14 to 18, 2018.  Folk Music Canada is hosting more than 30 showcase performances over four days at the conference’s host hotel with artists from across Canada, many of whom are also official showcasing artists at the conference. Folk Music Canada will be working to support all of the many Canadian artists at the event, hosting a myriad of activities including showcases, music business meetings and a networking mixer presented with Canadian Music. East Coast Style.

Folk Music Canada is also partnering with CIMA, FolQuébec and the Délégation du Québec à Chicago to host the Folk Alliance Saturday night reception preceding the official showcases.

In a new development this year, FMC will join Folk Alliance International as  Presenting Partner of the International Folk Music Awards on February 14 at the Folly Theatre in Kansas City.

Folk Alliance is a 4 day conference and industry networking event, with seminars and workshops during the day and official showcases in the evening. The music kicks into high gear late at night, with private industry-presented showcases including Folk Music Canada’s presenting music into the wee hours of the morning. It’s an unforgettable experience for all, fostering connections and enriching careers of attending artists and industry members.
